WHAT’S NEW?
March 2013
Happy Spring!
Daffodils blooming in the yard. The smell of the first cut of the grass. Buds swelling on the roses. Fish jumping in the pond. Bunnies tumbling at play in the meadow.
And once it finally stops snowing here in the northwest corner of Connecticut, and once the night temperatures get somewhere above ‘Arctic’, we’re quite certain these things might actually happen!
Here in balmy New England (‘balmy’ describes the people in the McGoldrick household, not the weather), you wouldn’t know that it was spring. Ski resorts are offering three-day packages for the Fourth of July, and public schools are hoping to complete final exams by August 1st.
But…being ‘cup half full (actually brimming)’ types, every day we celebrate all the positives of still dealing with this arctic weather.
