Meg Murphy, a soon-to-be former editor at a closing Boston publishing firm, is on her way to the resort town of Newport, Rhode Island, where she and her husband Robert have vacationed together for years. Robert, unfortunately, is dead.

Meg is at a crossroads in her life.
