Support our Volunteer Efforts on the Cancer Journey
Nikoo Kafi McGoldrick is a metastatic cancer thriver, patient advocate, and USA Today bestselling author whose work bridges storytelling and science to advance compassionate, patient-centered care. First diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and facing a metastatic recurrence in 2022, Nikoo channels her lived experience into meaningful change — championing research, education, and equity for those living with metastatic disease.
A mechanical engineer by training, an organizational volunteer by calling, and a storyteller at heart, she contributes to research initiatives at UCSD and UCLA while serving organizations including METAvivor, Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance, Project Life, and Little Pink Houses of Hope — ensuring the patient voice shapes medical decisions.
If you feel so inclined, we gratefully welcome donations not only to support our writing, but more importantly to fuel our volunteer work alongside breast cancer patients and caregivers. This cause is deeply personal to us, and every act of generosity makes a real difference in someone's journey.
